And We Have A Winner!

Our 29th Anniversary Sale was a wonderful success!

The store was buzzing with people all the time and there were certainly some amazing deals to be had.

Best of all was Jan's idea to have a draw for 29 prizes on the 29th!

Kim Gurry of Celista was the winner of the big basket of quilting goodies. 

Kim happened to come in to the store on the Saturday to pick up her basket, and was absolutely thrilled to see how chock-a-bock full it was.

 

We asked her to take a picture of herself with it and email it to us but then Jill remembered she had her new iPhone with her so was able to take a couple of pictures right then and there. 

(You have to love that technology!)

And, luckier still, it was the 

Block-of-the-Month Saturday and Jan happened to be in the store...

You would think it was all planned as they are even colour coordinated!

A Job Well Done

Wherever we go, it's people that make the difference....

and every once in a while you find one that does all that and then some

for so many customers at the Sewing Basket, that's what Kathie did and more, and so we while we are sad to see her go, we know you will all join us in wishing her the very best retirement can offer...

 

 and miss you we shall!

We have always had a great team at The Sewing basket, and Kathie has been a big part of that team for many, many years.... she and Jan have a lifetime of memories of trade shows, store sales, quilt shows - you name it, they've been there, done that and seen just about everything come and go, and come again over the years

a wealth of knowledge and a wonderful spirit!

Thank you to everyone who came on Saturday to wish Kathie joy in her next adventures; we had a wonderful time visiting with all of you.

We've Got Bling!

Our first class in making jewelery was just over a week ago and it was such a hit that we have added a second run of the Beginner Jewelery class, where you could learn to make this:

a gorgeous necklace using handcrafted designer beads, made by the instructor!
